Still Face Experiment and the Importance of Responsiveness

Take a look at this important video, called the Still Face Experiment, it shows a short example of how crucial it is to respond to our babies, play with them and connect with them. In less than 2 minutes the baby, unable to gain her mom's attention begins to cry.

This applies to our adult relationships as well, when we turn away and shut down or withdraw from our partners, showing them our "still face" they will become like the baby, crying out for attention, love and connection.
